This band was one of more interesting Christian Alternative bands to come out of the 80's, & sadly the most overlooked. Their entire catalogue consisted only of 2 records, lost in the shadow of Amy Grant, Michael W Smith & Petra. With a very unique sound, a very impressive array of talent, & some very fine musicianship, this band really deserved more attention than they originally received. Check them out. Oh, also of note: Ed McTaggert of the Swirling Eddies / Daniel Amos / Da produces, & they also do a brilliant cover of Daniel Amos's Walls of Doubt from Alarma. CD Status: Not likely. If this ever was re-released, I sure would like to know about it.http://christianrockzone.listen2myradio.com/

I am/was a huge Common Bond fan! Always thought their live shows were the best. Their music still rocks all these years later. I wish I could have recorded a live show. I also wish I could get a hold of the "Brand New Dream" album that was never released. Ken, wherever you are and whatever you are doing, please know your songs meant a ton to many people.I hope you are doing well!

Just dug the "Heaven is Calling" album out to test-drive a new cartridge on my turntable. I'd forgotten how GOOD this stuff was. Still remembered a lot of the lyrics, though.

I have both Common Bond albums. Haven't pulled them out for a while but found them both featured on Grooveshark. Great stuff and I completely agree with the comment that this band was overlooked by many. Of course, I was one of those strange kids who would go hang out at the Christian bookstore listening to all the demo cassettes. Found some great bands then like Common Bond. They had brilliant songs, great vocals, strong messages. I never had the chance to see Common Bond live...one of the few rock/alternative bands of the era I did not see live. It was great to see the Ken is still involved in ministry...still making an impact!

Common Bond is still my favorite band of the '80's. I wore out the tapes long ago. I was thrilled to see you are still in ministry Ken Riley. I am very happy to have found your wonderful music on Amazon Prime too. In fact, I'm listening now.

I remember them.
Went to church with Kenny and Chuck.
Wasn't Bobby Salcedo in Common Bond at one point?

I have both albums burned on my work computer and listen to them regularly.
