Guitar virtuoso Dennis Cameron's style is much in the vein of Eddie Van Halen and Rex Carroll. these albums are a must for any classic 80's rock enthusiast. One of the best Christian melodic metal bands of the late 80s/early 90s, thanks to the sizzling guitars of Dennis Cameron, who also had a knack for a good hook and excellent production skills, because this CD sounds very clean & tight. The choruses utilize the multi-layered backing vocal sound so adored by fans of this genre, making ANGELICA a heavenly choice for anyone seeking some high-quality melodic metal.
ANGELICA in my opinion, produced some very good music, but overall did not consistantly make enough songs to grab the attention of Metal Music Fans during the late 80s & early 90s.Their albums were not as in demand like Stryper,Mastedon,Barren Cross & such at that time.Dennis Cameron is a"Genious" of a guitar player though. His talent is probably in the top 10 percent of the world! the Song "Hold On" is a Classic, from their(Walk'n in Faith) CD. My advice is TRY before you BUY,& you be the judge.

Take A View of this Review From Somewhere else.
This was an amazing band. Very strong guitar work, vocals, and song writing. Cameron was good enough on guitar to have Michael Sweet ask him to tour with his initial solo band effort. If you haven't heard them, you need to check them out. There is a song called "Follow Me, Follow Him" on a cassette called "White Metal Invasion" that does not appear on the cd's mentioned here on this section of Firestream. The song has a lead vocalist that I think appears on the first cd by name only, but Rob Rock ended up doing the vocals while Ken Tamplin produced the album (and sang a song as well). Just putting that out there because it is interesting to hear Angelica before their self titled release. Cameron also went on to form Cynical Limit which was a more modern rock band. Angelica has a video that appears on Hot Metal Summer 4 Vhs. Anyway, great stuff here in this band. Cameron is one of the best guitarists in Christian rock.Absolutly fantastic. The Eddie Van Halen of Christian music. I emailed Dennis and told him it was just a shame his record label didn't promote this band more. Extremely talented man. He basically was the band. I've been a metal head going on 30 years and haven't heard guitar playing and song writing like this. Just a bit of trivia, Dennis was in prior band called Antix in his native Canada. The 2 CD's are hard to find, but I found them on a compilation CD on ebay. Also, his post Angelica band, Cynical Limit, met a similar fate. The album was incredible, but the record label was small and eventually folded. He deserves much better.

REVIEW FOR THE DEBUT ANGELICA ALBUM:
this one has Rob Rock on vocals and i could swear Ken Tamplin sings one song and does bgv on the whole thing.i was a Van Halen fan when i was an early teen so ive always like this style of guitar playing. not bad for first album. This album was Very Melodic and inspiring. I enjoy the freshness of the songs and the guitar arrangments, the songs really are uplifting. I just wish there were bands doing this type of music now like they did in the 80's and early 90's, the music scene sorely needs it.....And By The Way There's straight Christian Message.

REVIEW FOR THE WALKING IN FAITH ALBUM:
This is an awesome album. The guitar choreography is absolutely awesome!!! This rivals any secular hair band from back in the day... It has the music, it has the feel, and MOST IMPORTANTLY it has a positive message!!! Dennis Cameron can play the guitar better than most secular guitarists of his day in 1990. My favorite songs are: Walkin" In Faith, Harvest (Instrumental) & Not Too Late.

REVIEW FOR THE ALBUM ROCK STOCK AND BARREL ALBUM:
This is a great CD that has many inspiring and powerfull messages. The guitar work is excellent and sounds like all rock bands should be! although the music is very good, alot of its energy comes from the lyrics that lift you up and challenge christian and non-christian audiences.By The Way As JIMMY HEDRIX made a legacy for the america nationalHynm-Dennis's Camerun Made it as well for CANADA,My Second Motherland,And First of all, I have to say that from a Christian point of view, there's not a great deal that's angelic about Angelica, at least not on this album. Angelica used to be a more or less solo project of Canadian multi-instrumentalist/ Singer Dennis Cameron. Now it seems he's finally got a band together. Was it worth the trouble? Lyrically, they seem very confused and far too esoteric. Try as I might, in all humility, I couldn't make out many of the words - just heavy rock and groaning. Apart from a Pretty 12-String Acoustic Riff on "Cover Me", it was a woefully un-original and uninspired side 1. Side two is no better, just more heavy mumbling and groaning -sounding so depressed. A manic, very free rendition of the "Flight Of The Bumble Bee" sounded more like killer bees going berserk in his tee-shirt. "Rhyme Or Reason" lacked both, "Without Words" was full of them - and the rocked-up Canadian Anthem at the end must send their audiences wild, but I'm afraid left me as unmoved as the rest of this album. Mundane heavy rock-come-metal.(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
