BIOGRAPHY/REVIEW:
This is a very professional Band with very Good Sound and so on, I think you can really compare this to Secular Symphonic black Band because the quality is so good! As I said, it's symphonic black metal, what means that the music is basically black but there are lots of instrumental interludes and "Orchestral" (Good Keyboard) parts on it to create an awesome athmosphere. Actually there is a lot of non-metal stuff on it, the black stuff and the nice instrumental stuff always take turns...Drumming is very good and varies from very fast blasting to slow beats... the drummer is not really in the band though, it's just a session dude. Actually it's not a real band yet because the 2 only members do Vocals and the other one does Bass/Guitars. Vocals are also great btw, he doesn't shriek as extreme as old-school dudes do, of course, he sings more in the vein of the Dimmu Borgir man.The lyrics are quite poetic. I have some trouble with understanding them, honestly, but that's a personal problem I have very often with lyrics. One complaint: this CD goes for 30.11 minutes... and the last song (which goes for almost 6 minutes!) is only a bonus track, which means that the CD is actually a mini-CD/EP with only 24 minutes. It's a bit expensive compared to other CDs that have the same price but go for an hour or something....
Cerimonial Sacred plays a very good style of atmospheric black metal that should appeal to fans of Dimmu Borgir, Vaakevandring, and early Crimson Moonlight. Notice I named Scandinavian bands there? This is not your typical Brazilian black metal. This album definitely has more of that Scandinavian feel that I love...that cold, harsh feel that seems so hard for bands outside of that area to replicate. While this isn't the best example the genre has to offer, this is a solid disc that offers some good songs with surprisingly good production. The lyrics, while in English, are a little bit difficult to follow. It's obvious by the choppy style that English is not their first language. But really, it does nothing to detract from the album since they sing with Blackish Vocals that you can't understand anyway.(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
