Beautiful soft harmonies. "Moving on" is one of the best songs I've ever heard, unique by it's integrity, with a startling soft vocal performance. This is Stewart and Kyle's first and most sincere album - and probably their best..

Formerly known as Missionary One, this one man project is led by Chris Dickens. Whitecross vocalist Scott Wenzel performed some guest vocals on "Show Me The Way" CD Cover art by The very own Rexorcist. This band/project used to go under the name Missionary One,Chris is the man behind the band, and does almost everything, which is why this album deserves a 5 star rating. Alot of these songs really grow on you over time. Here's how I rate each song..... Surrender - 9/10 Love the lyrics, the passion and the music from start to finish. Especially love the guitars on this song. Brilliant track. Give In To Him - 8/10 Great chorus here. The lyrics are very thought provoking 'cause it's something that's very hard to do, as we often try and do things on our own and not let the Spirit lead. Nice rhythm to this song too. Man Overboard - 7/10 Good song here, not my favourite style, but still has a thumping good beat to it. I Will Worship You - 8/10 This is a worship song, and could quite easily be sung in any church! It's also very rememberable (is that a word). Not as fast and furious as the first 3 songs, but there's nothing wrong with that! It's a worship song, after all! Nice guitar solo on it too. He's Been Good To Me - 8/10 Back to rocking again! This is another great hard rock song, almost as good as Surrender, I'd Do It All Again and The End (I should give it 8.5 really). Real driving rock! Wind down the windows and turn it up to 11! Be Yourself - 8/10 Kinda punk sound at the start, there are some kind of vague 'Matrix' sounds going on there - maybe I'm the only one who can hear that...... It's another fine track. Are You Listening - 8/10 A bit more mellow again, and a very honest song (obviously written from the heart). This one has bags of passion in it, and Chris' vocals work really well with the style. The End - 9/10 Reminds me of Bride's Hired Gun. This is another highlight on the album. Chris' vocals hit the mark full on here! I'd Do It All Again - 9/10 Another great track. Thumping bass and lyrics top notch. I Fall Down - 9/10 Another worship song. This one will have your foot tapping (well it did mine anyway), and a nice closing song for the album. I generally either like a heavy metal slab of a song to end an album, or a softer hard rock ballad - and Chris has a hard rock ballad that works on all levels. And what better way to end an album than singing "Holy Is The Lamb" and "I want to worship You" All in all, it's by far Chris' best album (in my opinion) and has enough diversity to keep most rock and metal heads happy for weeks and months to come. And This new Mission Of One album is a killer. I am very impressed that this "one man band" has released a killer album. What I like to this album is are the different music styles. That makes this album exciting to listen too. It's a gift to write the very bold lyrics of those songs, to play bass. To do a very good job on guitar and the vocals. "Nuff now, you really have to check this CD out. It rocks.!!!.http://christianrockzone.listen2myradio.com/. Formerly known as Missionary One, Chris Dickens returns with his second helping of a heavy dose of 80's metal and biker rock! Chris does all of the drums, bass, and rhythm gutar on this CD. Guest musicians include: Mark Howell, Darren Dickens, Bart Garnder, and others...but there is 1 very special guest on this CD.....SCOTT WENZEL OF WHITECROSS!!!! Scott sings on 3 tracks on this CD.The first track, 'Run, has that classic 80's rock sound to it. crunching guitars, drums that banging away. This is one song that is best played if you are in a hurry to get somewhere - it will give you a lead foot. The lyrics are very openly Christian and very relatable too.The second track, 'The Worm Dieth Not', has that same 80's vein to it as well. 'Hell Inside' is the first track sung by Scott Wenzel. This song tells the story of a young lady who has a real dysfunctional family. This is based on a real person. Even the young lady involved sings background vocals on it. Great songs, good guitar grooves and drumming.Overall, this CD has great songs and some great musicians and playing. The lyrics are very faith centered and could rival some of the big name acts as far as content goes.Mission Of One is the project of a talented vocalist and guitarist by the name of Chris Dickens. Originally using the moniker of Missionary One on his 2004 full length debut Take Another Swig, Chris changed the name of the project to Mission Of One prior to releasing its very fine 2005 sophomore release Show Me The Way. The album finds Chris continuing to chart the waters of eighties influenced hard rock and biker rock territory, producing a sound inviting a comparison to the likes of Whitecross, Bride, Resurrection Band, Heartcry, Green Sleeves, F.O.G. and Spittin Jonah. The songwriting here proves quite consistent, best reflected in catchy hard rockers such as “Hell Inside” and “Dark Days” in addition to the metal-laced vibe that “Show Me The Way” and “Lies” bring to the table. A measure of versatility, on the other hand, can be found in “Role Of Harlots”, with its heavy blues rock feel, and the classic rock flavorings of “Do We Believe?”. Ultimately, the albums strength resides in its continuity in that it seamlessly flows from one composition to the next while delivering no ballads or “mellow” tracks. In other words, nothing but good, old fashioned and in your face hard rock from front to back. And that is a very good thing. Chris proves the mastermind behind the project, contributing all its songwriting along with filling in on lead vocals, bass and rhythm guitar. As a vocalist, his gritty and blues soaked vocal delivery helps give the project its signature raw and edgy sound. A guest appearance, however, is made by Scott Wenzel (Whitecross) who lends his raspy vocal style to “Hell Inside”, “Lies” and “Go”. Chris adorns the full length of the album with his tight sounding work on rhythm guitar, while Mark Howell delivers the goods on lead guitar. A particularly talented musician, Mark displays his abundant soloing abilities on “Run”, “Show Me The Way” and “Role Of Harlots”..
THIS ALBUM CONTAIN(10-TRACKS)1-SAY IT LIKE IT IS2-FOOL'S WISDOM3-TOMORROW'S NEWS4-GROWING OLD5-THING ARE GETTING BETTER6-HEAVEN OR HELL7-SEED OR CORN8-THE WORLD NEEDS JESUS9-ALWAYS ON MY MIND10-IT'S HERE THE ANSWER LIESWhen this album was originally released in 1973, alongside Parchment's 'Light Up The Fire', it was snapped up by Pye Records - one of the top labels of the day. 'Fools Wisdom' was very much a landmark album of the fledgling CCM industry in this country. Larry Norman, the godfather of contemporary Christian music, had become a British resident and the American Jesus Movement had inspired young Christians on this side of the Atlantic to take up their guitars for the cause. Malcolm & Alwyn, with their trademark autoharp, acoustic guitar and Beatlesque harmonies, sang at all the major Jesus Festivals across the country that summer and were clearly a cut above the rest in those pioneer days. For this, their first album, they were able to enlist the services of Norman's production team and a superb roster of session musicians that included Elton John's drummer. The investment was clearly worthwhile as the recording puts the duo's voices and instruments very much to the fore on each of these delicate self-written songs. Despite dealing with issues common to spiritually seeking young people the world over, the lyrics are quintessentially British - a rare commodity then as now. Yet, curiously, the Americans loved them for it. Malcolm Wilde has, for many years, pastured a Calvary Chapel in Florida whilst Alwyn Wall now leads a similar church in south London. Yet somehow, I doubt that they have ever preached so succinctly to their generation as on this brilliant debut

They were like the Phil & John of their day except that for this, their second album recorded in 1974, they decided to plug in and turn up the volume a little bit. Only a little bit mind. Rockers like "Burried Alive" and "I Feel Fine" are very influenced by Larry Norman's brand of mid '70s pop rock whilst the poppier groove of "I Love" is a particular favourite of mine. (Cliff Richard liked it too, he covered it on his 'Small Corners' album.) "Spaceman" has a brilliant quirky '70s vibe to it which sounds like fun now and slower songs like "I Love You More Than Yesterday" and "Stay With Me" are similar to the acoustic material on their debut album 'Fool's Wisdom'. 'Wildwall' comes complete with three bonus live tracks recorded in California including a version of "Fool's Wisdom" and a hilarious "I Feel Fine" which captures their live spirit. Ahhh.memories!10-ENNottinghamshire singing duo Malcolm Wild and Alwyn Wall, recorded two studio albums, Fools Wisdom and Wildwall before going their separate ways. Both men are now senior pastors at Calvary Chapel churches; Malcolm at Merritt Island, near Cape Canaveral in Florida for 20 years, and Alwyn in Westminster, central London since 2000. Alwyn recalls, "The 1970s was a special time. No doubt about it. When Malcolm and I started there was nothing really happening that young teens of 17 and 18 could relate to. We just fell into it. The folk music style was all we knew at the time, and the only others doing what we were doing at the time seemed to be Graham Kendrick and Trinity Folk, who then became Parchment. It was all brand new. We never dreamed that we would make an album, never mind two. They were musical snapshots of what was happening. We had no agenda to become anything, we had found Jesus and wanted to communicate that to the rest of our generation."..... .....Fool's Wisdom Reviewed by Chris Tozer..... AnyoneWho like the Red Hot Chili Peppers Will Like This Band.this is A Comment for one of the member of the band, this cd was awesome We actually enjoyed playing and we were not afraid to let people know we had fun, and were not trying to portray a cooler than you image..so for those bashing our name and album title, well, so be it- we were having fun not trying to impress you with coolness...God gives talents(and some may say we show little) and we were blessed that he allowed us the oppurtunity to use them for him so you must forgive us for having fun with it all--we were happy and a happy band and not at all ashamed of our uncool joy..by the way, we had absolutely nothing to do with the album cover--it's putrid..For those who actually liked us, our second album that ws given to REX around '97 before they disintegrated, can be heard if you are interested..it is very, very raw..just a recording so the label would know where we were going..not as much variety of styles but a lot of happy metal with tons of changes, we were getting a little heavier at that time..interested at all---pickleowl@msn.com or
