Lots of variety on this excellent custom Florida obscurity. For starters hardrock buffs will definitely salivate over driving cuts like ‘Receive It’, ‘Trips’, and ‘Remember That Name’, all of which register high with loud guitar. ‘Dance Cloud’ is acoustic and carefree with progressive overtones. Some melodic middle-ground rock and a few acoustic ballads fill out the lp. The spacey synthesizer is a nice touch adding that progressive edge here and there. Flute, French horn, and flugelhorn solo passages fit right in. And a most expressive lady passionately belts out the lead vocals. Would have been a perfect candidate for the Tunesmith label - production is certainly up to par. Real striking cover of horse and rider with flaming sword emerging from the clouds. Back cover and label both say “The Salvation Army” -not sure if that’s the album title or label.By The Way These Bands I Set Here Are Not the same bands while one is lead by a famale vocalist the other here below is lead for A Guy Dickie DiBuono On Vocals

As this album had previously been featured and reviewed in Metal Direct I was expecting to hear a melodic rock band and so was fooled by the first fifteen seconds of rhythm guitar. The album settles down into a rather bland musical style which lacks any real imagination and sparkle. The vocals are frequently too high pitched, painfully so in "All Your Heart", and swamped with saccharine harmonies. On the inlay, the lyrics of each song are preceded by numerous Bible references but all too frequently the songs seem to express a rather trite and simplistic faith. While "Lead Me Away" reveals some thought, the embarrassing "Jesus Street" includes the chorus "Doo ditti doo ditti doo, Doo ditti do me you, on Jesus Street, We walk on the road of truth". While the first and last tracks on side one have memorable choruses the songs tend to wash over the listener leaving little impression. very good melodick rock/aor in the vein of R.Cua and Harvest, not a t the same level but good anyway.I found some similarities in the more recent band called Steelwind, their debut cd is very good IMO.reminds me of the softer side of early 80s to mid 80s Petra, with some old whiteheart thrown in... 1 or 2 decent songs .
