In early 1984 a buzz began floating around Christian New Music circles in southern California about a new band that wasn't in the usual CCM or Maranantha! pipeline. Pushing infectious rhythms and melodies with insightful and honest lyrics, these four young men from Arcadia, California were known as 4-4-1 (441) and were about to turn heads from outside the "Orange Curtain".
