If you’re an ‘80s rock kind of groover and your spandex trousers are wasting away in the wardrobe. If you used to have big hair and wail into a hairbrush along with your favourite ‘80s rockers. Or if you just can’t get off playing air guitar to these alternative rock new kids on the block and a thrill trickles down your spine when you remember the time when you were concussed by that Stryper Bible hitting you on the head, this is the album for you. ‘A Tribute To The Past’ is exactly that! An album that pays homage to a pile of ‘80s Christian rockers from Stryper to Bloodgood to Jerusalem. German band Treasure Seeker are the ultimate ‘80s Christian rock tribute band and they recreate the sound with a careful attention to detail. Rez’s “Silence Screams” screams out, Leviticus’ “Flames Of Fire” sets the speakers alight! Classic material like “To Hell With The Devil” is all here and although the whole concept does seem faintly ridiculous, it’s fun remembering just how OTT some of this stuff was! Buy the album, fish out the fright wig and get ready to rock’n’roll! Is that the rumblings of an ‘80s revival I can hear in the bass bin?(http://www.holymetalrob.com/)
