This album is awesome! It has a strong message and sounds a lot like old Van Halen! Best song off this one is "I Kill Devils"...I'd buy it if I were you!!This was a great hard rock/metal album. Cool production and fun to listen to. It has a good classic hard rock sound that's great to crank up. Beat The Heat!!! This ultra rare 10 track AOR Melodic Rock CD was released in 1990 on the PAN-TRAX Records label. Similar bands : Ruscha , Gideons Army ..Lex Rex consisted of vocalist Harvey Prichard, guitarist Tom Brock, drummer Tony Vines, and bassist Curt Walsh. Brock came up with the idea for the band name, which means "God's law is King." The band only released one album, Beat the Heat, on Pan-Trax Records in 1990 Walsh has toured with country artist Clay Walker and was a session player on Walker's 1999 album Live, Laugh, Love.This is the music of the Christin rock group "Lex Rex". The group had a release on Pantrax records in 1989 called "Beat the Heat". This is the CD that was never released, "The Devils Nightmare". This recording was made from a cassette tape as the original master recordings were lost,stolen and never found...it is my suspicion that they were destroyed. The reason the group disbanded was that all of the members...Tony Vines, Curt Walsh, Tom Brock and Harvey Pritchard,(that is all!) realized their first responsibilities were to their families and children.
